Power department bids farewell to outgoing E-in-C
DIMAPUR — Power department bade farewell to its outgoing Engineer-in-Chief (Power), Moa Aier, during a programme held on Friday in the conference hall of its office in Kohima.
Speaking at the function, the minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye, expressed gratitude to the outgoing officer for rendering 35 years of exceptional service to the state. He described him as a dedicated and committed officer, who was passionate about his career and profession.
Kenye further acknowledged him for his immense contribution to the state and for bringing pride to the department and the state and wished him all the best in his future endeavours.
The secretary of Power, Asangla Imti stated that Moa Aier has contributed immensely for the department and the state. She described him as a level headed individual who provided the most important insight and solutions to complicated issues.
She added that during his tenure, Moa Aier had initiated and completed many projects for the state and has taken forward reforms and restructuring of Power sector in Nagaland.
The incoming Engineer-in-Chief (Power), Wabangmeren Jamir, described the outgoing officer as a visionary leader with a cutting edge mentality. He accredited Moa Aier for steering the department throughout difficult times.
The chief engineer (T&G), Kasho Chishi, and executive engineer (Generation division, Myingthungo Ngullie, also spoke on the occasion.
In his farewell speech, Moa Aier encouraged all the officers to speak up and sensitise the people to help them change their attitude and mindset so that development can reach the people. He encouraged the officers to be steadfast and be well equipped as the coming days in the power sector will be challenging.
He thanked all the officers and staff for their continued support throughout his tenure.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by T Lithrichum Sangtam, superintending engineer (Generation).
