DIMAPUR: The district-level launching programme of Poshan Pakhwada 2023 in collaboration with Sangsangnyu ICDS project was held at CKS Hall in Tuensang town on March 21.
The deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Nokchasashi, in his address, said Poshan Pakhwada is a 14-day long programme where the Social Welfare department would be conducting different activities at the district, block and village levels. He called upon all the convergent departments and the community leaders to give their cooperation for the successful implementation of the programme in the district.
Nokchasashi said in the past, children were malnourished but with the convergent departments implementing different schemes such as the mid day meal, nutritional food are being provided to the children.
The DC also administered the Poshan pledge and officially launched Poshan Pakhwada 2023.
A brief note on Poshan Pakhwada was presented by Natichumdam, while the welcome address was delivered by DPO (ICDS), T Longlang Luckpan, and district coordinator of PMMVY Tuensang, L Tonen Chang delivered the vote of thanks.
