Dimapur, Aug. 21 (EMN): Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) notified that the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has development a centralised Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) portal for plastic packaging for registration of producer, importer and brand owners (PIBO) as well as plastic waste processors (PWP).
NPCB member secretary, K Hukato Chishi, has directed interested persons/ parties to apply for registration in the centralized EPR portal, which could be accessed through CPCB website cpcb.nic.in (go to important linl: registration of PIBO and PWP under PWM rules).
It also directed the PIBO to comply with the provisions of Rule 9 (1 to 6) and PWP to comply with the provision of Rule 13 (3) of the Plastic Waste Management (Amendment) Rules, 2018.
Interested persons are further directed to contact phone nos. 7005239265 and 8732050834 for necessary information related to registration of PIBO and PWP in the centralised EPR portal.
