Dimapur, July 28 (EMN): Dimapur based skill development organisation ‘Pinnacle Skills’ on Friday won the award for the ‘Best NGO in Skill Development’ at the Indo-Global Skills Summit & Expo 2017 held at The Lalit, New Delhi.
Dr. Yan Murry, Chief Executive of Pinnacle Skills, received the award from the Governor of Haryana, Kaptan Singh Solanki.
The only other awardee in the category was Delhi Pharmaceutical Science & Research University, Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Kaptan Singh Solanki said India will soon become a country with the world’s youngest population and it is important to skill youth to reap this demographic dividend. He cited Haryana as an ideal example where the government has decided to impart vocational training in all schools.
Organised by the Indus Foundation, the guests of honour at the function were Jayant Krishna, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer of National Skill Development Corporation; and Michiko Enomoto, Head of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
Pinnacle Skills is a professional skill development organisation established in Dimapur in 2012. It offers various short term trainings to youth and offers job placements. It is a partner of the National Skill Development Corporation.
