Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, Dimapur held its annual sports meet on Oct. 26 and 27 last with Vishal Chauhan (IPS) ACP, West Police Station, as the chief guest on the first day.
The ceremony consisted of march past with contingents comprising of students of four different houses namely the Purple Falcons, the Green Hornets, the Yellow Dolphins and the Pink Panther as well as the NCC cadets.
Among others, there was also a Bhangra dance and Choral presentation.
The sports events kick started with the 100 m sprint by the senior boys, followed by numerous other sports inclusive of 200, 400 and 800 m races, Long Jump, Shot Put, Dressing up the Couple Race, Bucket Race for the juniors, to name a few.
Former teacher Athiubo Kaurinta 2nd O/C, Sub Urban Police Station, Dimapur was the guest of honour on the concluding day. Ultimately, the Green Hornets emerged as the champions of Pilgrim’s 29th annual sports meet.
