Kohima, August 4 (EMN): A one-day workshop on DSLR Photography was organised by Canon Image Square in association with Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) in the latter’s conference hall, Kohima, on Friday.
Md. Noor, trainer of Canon India and resource person, taught on the basics of photography such as use of lights, motion control, depth-of-field, composition guidelines and how to make the best used of the DSLR camera. He also gave an insight about how to use aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
Noor, while illustrating the composition shots, gave examples using the slide shows on how to click the photographs basing on the different occasion that can create a powerful sense of place or a rare moment.
The workshop gave opportunities to the amateurs to practice their newly acquitted skills such as hands-on shooting exercises and basic composition shots during the practical session.
Director IPR, Limawati Ao, in his short speech, said learning is a lifelong experience and expressed his desire to take up photography as a profession after retirement. While sharing his interest in photography since his pre-service days, he called upon the participants to make the best use of the training.
The workshop was attended by more than 40 participants including IPR officers and staff, media persons, freelancers, NCS officials, officials from Fisheries Department, NRM, Raj Bhavan and RD department.
Canon cameras and accessories were also exhibited during the workshop and were put on sale.
