Kohima, Sep. 7 (EMN): Seyie scored a hat-trick as Phoenix Rising defeated league champions Power Comm 5-2 in the 4th match of the ongoing Morning Champions Cup at Seikhazou ground on Thursday.
Seyie scored three goals and assisted one during the match to help the team to overcome Power Comm in a seven goal thriller match to earn three points.
Phoenix Rising took the early lead in the 10th minute through Seyei from a spot kick conversion but Power Comm managed to pull one back through Viposa in the 18th minute assisted by Jonathan and double the lead through Sahavi nine minutes later. The first half ended 2-1 in favour of Power Comm.
But in the second half, Power Comm conceded four goals as Seyie converted another penalty in the 46th minute and completed his hat-trick in the 47th minute to become the second hat-trick scorer of the tournament after Sekhose. Daikho and Visa also contributed a goal each in the second half to complete the rout. Daikho of Phoenix Rising and Shatilo of Power Comm were cautioned with a yellow card each.
