Dimapur, July 7 (EMN): In commemoration of the 75th year of India’s Independence “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” from July 1 to August 14, the department of Public Health Engineering (PHED), Wokha division, kick started its calendar activities on July 6 led by its executive engineer, Imnazulu Ao.
As part of the activity, the officers and staff carried out plantation drive-cum-cleanliness drive at its office premises and at Etsutchukha, the main water source for Wokha town, a DIPR report stated on Wednesday. The objective of the department to clean and plant trees at the main water source was to sensitise the public about the importance of drinking and consuming clean and safe water as drinking contaminated water could lead to many side effects and diseases when not addressed properly.
