Principal of Pfutsero Government College presenting a certificate of appreciation to ANCSU president and guest speaker, Katho P Awomi, on the occasion of its 37th freshers’ day on July 26.

Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): Pfutsero Government College (PGC) observed its 37th freshers’ day on July 26 on the theme “Fuelling purpose with passion” with Katho P Awomi, ANCSU president, as the guest speaker.

In his speech, Awomi highlighted the challenges faced by ANCSU for a better and just future of the society and affirmed that ANCSU would work for the welfare of the students and the college community as a whole.

He challenged the students on what they could contribute to the institution after passing out from the college as well as when they are in the college. Commenting that a society needs a person with uniqueness and not an imitator, he challenged the student to promote one’s originality with sincerity and honesty. He also stressed on ones’ determination and passion to achieve the dream which would involve sacrifices and hard work from oneself.

The college vice principal TL Singsit delivered the welcome address and short speech was delivered by the principal Dr. Moanochet Longchar. Speech on behalf of the freshers was delivered by Ca Agnes Dukru from BA 1st semister.

The Alumni Award 2019 was awarded to Wepetsho-u Ritse for securing highest CGPA in the college in the recently declared end semester result. Besides, Mr and Miss Freshers were awarded to Mutsihu Chuzho of Economics department and Depe-ü Vero of Education department.
