Peren: Inter-Departmental Badminton Tournament concludes

The 2nd Peren District Inter-Departmental Badminton Tournament concluded on November 20, 2015 with ADC Peren, S. Tainiu as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest congratulated the organising committee for organizing such events which bring closeness amongst the Departments. She stated that in every game there is winner and loser but the most important value is participation and looked forward for next year’s tournament.
In men’s single Kwetrie from YRS Department and Sankie from Forest Department bagged 1st and 2nd positions. In men’s double Visiezolie Yashu and Dr. Kekuchol Pusa from Peren College and Kwetrie and Jakedovo Chase from YRS Department bagged 1st and 2nd respectively. In women single Pelunwi R. Newmai from Administration and Opanglemla from Education Department bagged 1st and 2nd respectively, while Naro Aier and Letunu Angami from prison and Nengnehoi and Opanglemla from Education Department bagged 1st and 2nd respectively. Peren College and Prison Dept were awarded with the best participating teams.
The programme was chaired by CMO Peren, Dr. Ngangshi Meren, and vote of thanks was delivered by Vice Principal, Peren College, Albert.
