Peren Government College annual games, sports meet underway

Dimapur, March 24 (EMN): Peren Government College (PGC), Peren organised its 34th annual games and sport meet at the local ground, Peren town on March 24.

An update informed that the inaugural session of the three-day games and sports began with Limaakum T Jamir, additional superintendent of police, Peren as the special guest.

Jamir highlighted the importance of sports in a students’ life and encouraged the students to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and work for uplifting the cause of the college.

Dr. A Nshoga, principal, PGC, exhorted the students to give their best not only in studies but also in extracurricular activities such as sports and games to excel in life.

The inaugural programme began with an opening prayer by Dr. Wabangnaro Imchen, asst. professor, PGC, while oath taking was led by Agai, games and sports secretary.
