Peren CSOs appeal to national workers not to create law and order problems

Dimapur, April 13 ( EMN): Peren Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) appealed all national workers not create law and order problem in Peren district, particularly inter-factional confrontation when all Naga society is yearning for peace.

An update from Zeliangrong Baudi, Nagaland informed about the arrest of one senior member of Niki Sumi faction by NSCN (IM) operatives on April 12. Fortunately, the situation did not escalate further and the arrested person was release unharmed.

It further stated that ‘adherence to ceasefire ground rules was of paramount importance between our own national workers and not only the security forces and that dispute must be reloved through dialogue’.

Calling for peace and harmony, the CSOs encouraged ‘to shun activities that deprave society’.
