Participatory exercise conducted for villages in Dimapur

Dimapur, March 16 (EMN): A participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercise under the aegis of Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) was conducted for rural villages under Urban division PHED. The programme was sponsored by WSSO, PHED Nagaland. This was updated by SDO (PHED) Chumukedima on Friday.
The Exercise was conducted at Tenyiphe -I , Sovima, 7th Mile village, Unity village, 5th Mile Model village, Diphupar ‘B’, Chumukedima A’, Virazouma, Tenyiphe -II, Toulazouma, Padumpukhuri, Aoyimti, Zani , L Hotovi and Shozukhu under Chumukedima block and Senjum village, Kashiram, Kashiram Ao, Signal Aoyimkum from Maintenance Sub-Division from March 7-10th under respective sub-division staff and consultant.
The exercise was attended by council members, WATSAN committee, anganwadi workers, youth and students, women representative and NGOs comprising of 25 members from a village. The appraisal consist of village profile, water supply, sanitation and toilets usage and the status of open defecation free of the district as well as the safe disposal of solid and liquid waste.
