Orientation held for newly recruited agriculture officials
DIMAPUR — A one-day orientation programme for 46 Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC)-recruited agriculture officers and agriculture inspectors was held on June 10 at the conference hall of the Directorate of Agriculture in Kohima.
Addressing the programme, Director of Agriculture M Ben Yanthan briefed that the Department of Agriculture has 44 establishments, including the Directorate, in the state, according to a press release.
Yanthan urged the newly recruited officers to utilise the opportunity with purpose and work towards the welfare of the farmers. He also emphasised that the department expects a high level of commitment and sincerity in carrying out their duties at their respective places of posting.
He also encouraged the newly recruited officers to be the future of the department, reminding them to extend their cooperation and work together as a team.
During the programme, Joint Director of Agriculture (Planning) Ketsukha Kath briefed on centrally sponsored schemes, highlighting the implementation of various programmes and components under the department.
