The Nagaland State Open Chess Championship 2016 would be held from April 27 till April 30 next at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. The event has been organized by the Sumi Chess Association Nagaland (SCAN) , under the aegis of Nagaland Chess Association in memory.
A press note from SCAN informed that the championship has been organized in memory of Lt. Kahoshe Awomi. Nizheto Awomi, Deputy Director, Youth Resources & sports Nagaland will be the chief guest on the opening day.
The Championship will have three categories –open, under-16 and under -12. Players have been requested to produce students ID Card and birth certificate registered within one year of birth as per All India Chess Federation (AICF) norms.
