Only 4239 houses completed in state under PMAY-G

Dimapur, Jan. 11 (EMN): A total of 4,239 houses have been completed in Nagaland out of 14,885 houses sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) with a total amount of INR 76.4888 crore as on January 10, 2022.

The PMAY-Gramin project, which started on March 1, 2017, has so far registered a total of 23,769 beneficiaries in Nagaland, out of which 21,568 houses have been geo-tagged and 14,885 sanctioned.

In terms of houses completed district-wise, Tuensang has the highest number of houses completed with 1,500 out of 3,047 sanctioned and the total fund utilised was INR 22.899 crore. It’s followed by Mon district at 1,010 houses completed out of 4,299 sanctioned at a cost of INR 18.5882 crore, while Longleng district completed 395 houses at a cost of INR 7.555 crore.

Out of all the districts, Zunheboto had the least number of houses completed with 50 houses at a cost of INR 2.0316 crore out of 682 sanctioned.

Out of the 14,885 houses sanctioned under PMAY-Gramin so far, Mon district has the highest number with 4,299, followed by Tuensang with 3,047, Kiphire with 1,394 and Peren with 1,263 houses.
