Officials discuss land encroachment issue in Medziphema
DIMAPUR — The Medziphema subdivision head of departments (HoDs), both central and state, deliberated the issue of government land encroachment by the public and measures to combat it, during the co-ordination meeting held at the ADC conference Hall in Medziphema on Friday.
ADC of Medziphema, James Swu, who chaired the meeting, reminded the officers to identify the department land, saying that every department should have a precise map, said an update from DIPR.
It was also decided during the meeting to organise a mass social work on November 29, in view of the upcoming Hornbill Festival, which is set to begin on December 1.
The village council chairman and head GB also informed all the villages along the National Highway-29 four-lane stretch that the social work will be conducted from 6 am onwards on Wednesday next week.
The ADC went on to request all government employees and public alike to take part in the social work by cleaning the offices and village areas.
