Kohima, June 12 (EMN): Kohima Village Covid-19 Committee has been managing a home quarantine for the returnees at Perinuothou, P Khel in Kohima village.
Vizoneilie Pienyü, secretary of the Covid-19 committee, informed Eastern Mirror that Khedi Baptist camping site has been converted to a temporary home quarantine called “Observation Home” to accommodate returnees, who are members of Kohima village.
“Observation Home” below K Badze quarantine centre is currently sheltering two returnees for another 14 days following their completion of institutional quarantine. The home quarantine could house more than 60 people at a time.
Pienyü apprised that there are currently 85 members of Kohima village, who are currently quarantined at the government-designated facilities following their return from containment zones outside the state.
Following this, the returnees would be quarantined for another 14 days at “Observation Home”, after which they would be released to go to their respective homes in Kohima village.
Meanwhile, about 15 returnees, who came from green zones, have been sent for self isolation period of 14 days at their respective homes.
According to Covid-19 bulletin of Nagaland as of 3 pm on June 12, there are currently 6,922 returnees at facility quarantine and 8,190 at home quarantine.
