Kohima: Nagaland Wushu Association (NWA) will be conducting selection trial on June 13 at IG Stadium, Kohima. The selection trial is initiated to select the best players for the upcoming 32nd Senior National Wushu Championship 2023, scheduled to be held from June 26 to July 1 in Pune Maharashtra.
The NWA in a press release stated that the selection trial will be conducted in the following weight categories: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg and 90+kg for men and 45kg, 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg and 75kg for women.
The association stated that the gold medal winners in this championship will get automatic qualification to the National Games 2023 scheduled in last week of October and first week of November 2023 in Goa.
The association requested all affiliated units to prepare players for selection trial. The players’ list should be submitted to Nagaland Wushu Association office in person or whatsapp (9863238620/ 9916580774) latest by June 12, it stated.
