DIMAPUR — The Entrepreneurship Development Centre of Nagaland University (NU), Kohima campus organised an entrepreneurship awareness programme (EAP) at Mount Olive College on Friday.
“This initiative targets youth aged 18 to 40 residing or studying in Kohima district, who either have innovative business ideas or have been running a business for up to five years,” an update from NU stated.
It stated that 10 participants would be chosen to attend a 5-day entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) at Nagaland University, Kohima campus. It added that those selected for the EDP would have the opportunity to advance their ventures with a start-up grant of INR 5 lakh from the Incubation Centre, aimed at turning business plans into successful enterprises.
Sponsored and managed by the North Eastern Council (NEC) and the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, it stated that the project does not require any registration fees from participants.
It informed that the upcoming sessions of the entrepreneurship awareness programme would be held on August 28 at Sazolie College, Kohima, and on August 30 at St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama.
The coordinator for the entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) at Nagaland University is Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi, assistant professor in the department of Management. Dr. Ditalak Mpanme, also an assistant professor in the Department of Management, is the joint coordinator.
