NSUDD issues guidelines to steer clear of frauds, scams
DIMAPUR — Against the backdrop of the alarming instances of fraudulent job offers and scams in cities across the country targeting individuals from the Naga community, the Naga Students’ Union Dehradun (NSUDD) issued certain guidelines to avoid falling victims to such scams.
In a press release, the NSUDD said that such scams are putting the Naga community at significant risk, and urged all members of the Naga community, especially those considering job opportunities, to be extremely vigilant and cautious to avoid falling victim to such scams.
“We are immensely proud and happy to see that members of our Naga community are making their mark and establishing themselves in cities across the country.
“As we expand and thrive in various regions, it is crucial to stay connected, informed, and vigilant to protect ourselves and each other from potential threats,” the union said.
To prevent further exploitation and ensure safety of the community, the union said that it is crucial to always verify the credentials and legitimacy of any job offer.
“Do not accept offers at face value, especially those that seem too good to be true,” it cautioned.
The union also apprised that before accepting any job offers based in Dehradun or elsewhere, to contact the NSUDD for assistance and verification. The union assured that it is ready to assist in validating the authenticity of such offers.
Further, underscoring the need of “community support,” the union urged all concern to engage with fellow Nagas in Dehradun, to share information and seek advice from the community to ensure that no one falls victim to scams.
For any concerns or assistance required, the NSUDD informed that one may contact its general secretary Temjensangba (9863726451/8794694858) or women coordinator Vekhoculu Chuzho (9233146714).
