NSRLM campaigns on digital transaction in Tethuyo village

DIMAPUR — Longmatra block of the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) organised a campaign to promote digital transaction at gram panchayat level in Tethuyo village under Kiphire district on May 19.
Speaking at the event, Kuramong, AC, FI of Longmatra block, informed that the campaign is a national movement to promote digital transaction and to provide financial services at the door step. He informed that NSRLM has deputed business correspondent also known as BC Sakhi from the village in order to facilitate women SHG in accessing banking services, stated an update from NSRLM.
He encouraged all to avail the services provided by the BC Sakhi.
Kuraming also highlighted various social security schemes such as PMJJBY, PMSBY etc and health insurance schemes like PMJAY and CMHIS being provided by the government. While observing that most of the rural people have not enrolled in those schemes, he encourages all to enroll in those schemes.
Meanwhile, the BC Sakhi from Tethuyo village, Florence, stated that she would be available for any type of bank transaction and enrolment for various social security schemes provided by the government. He added that people don’t need to travel to the bank for accessing individual bank related transaction.
“We are in a digital era and everything can be done by just clicking a fingerprint,” she said.

Earlier, Mary, SHG member, invoked God’s blessings, while Kurakmong chaired the programme and introduced BC Sakhi to the participants.
Report added that transaction and enrolment drive was conducted after the programme.
