DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Speech and Hearing Professionals Association (NSHPA), an organisation committed to the advancement of speech, language and hearing professions, conducted an outreach programme at Bright Morning Star Children Home (BMSCH) in Kohima on October 2.

In a press release, the association stated that the event was organised with an aim to enhance awareness and provide screening services related to speech and hearing disorders.

The primary objective of the school visit was to provide valuable information on speech and hearing disorders, conduct screening tests, interact with the staff and children of BMSCH and offer guidance on managing any identified issues.

“This initiative was part of NSHPA’s broader mission to promote awareness, advocate for better services and support both emerging and experienced professionals in the field.

“Through this outreach, NSHPA sought to contribute positively to the community by addressing speech and hearing disorders early, thereby improving the quality of life for individuals affected by these conditions,” the release added.
