NSF serves 10-day ultimatum to Nagaland government over NSSB recruitment process
Dimapur, Nov. 16 (EMN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has issued a 10-day ultimatum to the government of Nagaland to reduce the 12.5% marks allotted in the viva voce of the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) recruitment examination to 5% in all categories in order to “ensure fairness and transparency in the examination process”.
NSF further demanded CCTV cameras be installed in the interview room to “effectively monitor the interview process and for necessary perusal”, a press statement on Wednesday said.
It also asked the government to invite a representative(s) from the NSF during the interview process as an ‘observer’.
Stating that the demands were in the interest of the youths and student community, it expressed hope that the government of Nagaland would comply with the “charter of demands” and enforce the same within 10 days.
Meanwhile, NSF expressed happiness that the preliminary examination for the combined staff recruitment examination 2022 had been successfully conducted by the NSSB, “thus realising the long cherished dream of thousands of aspirants in the state to equal job opportunity and meritocracy in the process of selection to Group-C posts”.
