DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) under Home department consisting of geologist, engineers and field staff conducted geophysical survey and aerial survey of Alahuto landslide/ land sinking area in Zunheboto town on July 30 and 31.
An update from NSDMA stated that the investigation was carried out using resistivity meter to collect data of the subsurface strata/ soil and rock formations and ground water table of the said area. It added that drone aerial survey was also conducted to get the detailed information of structures and public utilities affected by the landslide.
The investigation was carried out with support from members of ward disaster management authority of Alahuto Colony in Zunheboto town.
