DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) has congratulated all the women candidates who have triumphed in the recent urban local body (ULB) elections in Nagaland.
In a press release, the NSCW said that it was “truly inspiring” to witness 83 women securing their positions through the 33% reservation and an additional eight women succeeding through the general category.
“Your success is a testament to your dedication, determination, commitment and the unwavering support of your communities. This significant achievement not just highlights your individual capabilities but also marks a progressive step towards greater gender equality and representation in our governance,” the commission said.
The NSCW further hoped that their tenure would be filled with impactful contributions and positive changes that benefit all.
