Dimapur, Jan. 11: A member of the banned NSCN (K) was caught on Tuesday last by a joint team of 41 Assam Rifles, 3 Assam Rifles and police personnel from Jail colony, Kohima. According to a press release from the Assam Rifles, the arrest was made during a ‘search operation’ in the locality. The arrested NSCN (K) member was identified as Velasayi Sapuh, aged 35. One ‘Pt 22 mm pistol’ was recovered, it informed. He was handed over to Kohima police custody.
