DIMAPUR: Isak Sumi-led NSCN/GPRN has taken strong exception to the alleged information provided by CFSB chairman to Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, that NSCN//GPRN is not a recognised group.
In a clarification, NSCN/GPRN stated that Col. (retired) Isak Sumi was recognised as representative of NSCN/GPRN in the talks with the government of India officially and constantly in touch with the government of India and continuous to be the role representative of NSCN/GPRN and also the co-convenor of WC-NNPGs in political talks with the government of India.
“Since the formation of NNPGs and subsequent signing of ‘Agreed Position’ on November 17, 2017, the government of India, conspiracies are being waged by anti-solution and anti-Naga elements to disintegrate WC/ NNPGs and sabotage Naga solution,” an update from NSCN/GPRN media cell stated.
The NSCN/GPRN has urged the Nagas not be swayed away by anti-solution elements rumours and hell bent in sabotaging the Naga political solution.
“It is also surprising to note that the though Hokato Vusshe and Phuyeka Achumi, who are wanted by the state law enforcing agencies and look-out notice served against the duo in connection to multiple murders of innocent Naga civilians, they are still evading arrest,” it alleged.
It mentioned that since the disgraceful eviction of Hokato Vusshe from designated camp, Khehoi, by his own cadres in the month of May 2022, certain prominent Naga politician has been campaigning from Nagaland to Delhi to enable Hokato Vusshe to form his separate group, however, with no positive response from New Delhi, a new plot was initiated.
It claimed that Hokato Vusshe and co-conspirators paid a huge bribe to Khango, Shellen Konyak and Phuyeka Achummi to assassinate its ato kilonser, Col. (retired) Isak Sumi, to pave the way for Hokato Vusshe to take over as ato kilonser of NSCN/GPRN.
It alleged that on the evening of January 4, Phuyeka Achumi made an assassination attempt on Col. (retired), Isak Sumi, who was injured but miraculously rescued by home kilonser. It went on to alleged that Phuyeka Achumi confiscated the entire household properties of the family including the books and uniforms of the children and forcibly evicted the wife and children of Isak Sumi at gun point without allowing them even to retrieve spare clothes despite protest and eviction notice from Thilixu village and Sumi frontal organisations.
In the light of the above stated circumstances, NSCN/GPRN has asked the Nagas to remain vigilant of anti-Naga forces marauding the land in the guise of national workers.
