NPSA to take part in 6th NE Pencak Silat Championship

DIMAPUR — Sixty athletes of the Nagaland Pencak Silat Association (NPSA) have left for Guwahati to participate in the 6th North East Pencak Silat Championship 2024, scheduled to be held at Sarusajai Indoor Stadium in Guwahati, Assam, from July 12 to the 14th.

The team will compete in combat and artistic events across sub-junior, junior and senior divisions (both male and female) during the three-day championship, the NPSA stated in an update.

The team will be led by the officials of the Nagaland Pencak Silat Association including president Khevishe Sema, vice-president Hetoi Sema, general secretary and head coach Deep Kumar and asst. coach Tiayanger Imsong. 

The championship is organised by Assam Pencak Silat Association under the aegis of North East Pencak Silat Federation and Indian Pencak Silat Federation. The medal winners of the championship will represent the state in the forthcoming inter-zonal National Pencak Silat Championship 2024.
