Dimapur, October 18 : The Myanmar-based Naga People’s Organization (NPO) has expressed ‘deep shock’ that another platform, the Council of Nagaland Affairs (CNA), ‘which is supposed to stand with the Nagas as per their proclamation,’ has ‘chosen to go against the will of the rural Naga populace.’

The NPO issued a statement to the media on Tuesday in response to the CNA which had rejected the claims of the former as being the principal platform of the Naga people in their region in Myanmar. The latter had also charged the NPO as being of the Indian intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
The organization has given the CNA two days to substantiate the allegation that the NPO was of “RAW, IB members.”

“NPO is the collection of tribal representatives, who are not even familiar with Burmese language and are from most backward area. However, CNA shouldn’t take it as granted and make fun of it!

NPO being public representatives of entire Naga tribes of Myanmar ask CNA to ‘substantiate’ their claim / disclaim within two days as to who are the RAW, IB members involved in NPO and what manner India embassy and USDP supports NPO?”

The NPO assured that it would leave ‘no stone unturned and CNA shall be held solely responsible if anything happen to NPO leaders.’
