Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): The office of Naga People’s Front (NPF) 7 Peren Assembly Constituency has decided to dissolve the unit with immediate effect, three days after 21 MLAs from the party joined the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP).
The decision was taken at a meeting on Monday after a thorough deliberation, according to an update signed by the presidents of 7 A/C Peren, Women Wing, Youth Wing and Farmers Wing.
It was resolved at the meeting that ‘the office bearers along with all the rank and file of NPF 7 A/C Peren will continue to support the leadership of TR Zeliang, the incumbent MLA of the constituency and chairman of United Democratic Alliance’.
The house also resolved to wholeheartedly work for the uplift of 7 Peren Assembly Constituency under the dynamic leadership of Zeliang.
