Dimapur, Oct. 26 (EMN): Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has welcomed, W Akum Yim, former candidate from 58 Shamatore-Chessore A/C, and Dr. Aimong Lam from 56 Noklak A/C, who have formally joined the INC. They were welcomed in the presence of Seyiekuolie Angami, NPCC treasurer, and other party leaders on October 25 at Congress Bhavan, Kohima.Stating that both the leaders were founding members of NDPP, NPCC press release stated that they have decided to join the INC party and defend the rights of the people on realising that only INC could withstand the divisive and hatred politics of BJP supported by NPF and other political parties like the NDPP.
Meanwhile, NPCC has invited all right thinking peoples who believe in the values of liberal democracy and secular principles to come together and defeat the combined regional and communal forces in the form of NPF-BJP-RSS alliance that pose a potent threat to the way of life and beliefs through their Hindutva agenda.
