DIMAPUR — The official tour team of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) led by former MLA Shame Angh and Denngan, Retd. Secretary, Government of Nagaland, paid a visit to the Mon District Congress Committee (DCC) on Oct. 18.

In a press release, the NPCC claimed that the visit provided a “substantial boost” to the Congress party in the region.

During the visit, several individuals from various political backgrounds formally joined the Congress party, signifying a growing momentum for the party ahead of upcoming political events.

“A formal joining letter was handed over to the NPCC officials at the Mon DCC office, marking a key moment in the day’s proceedings,” it stated.

The Congress leaders expressed their appreciation to the new members and assured their full support as they work toward strengthening the party’s presence in Mon district.

Encouraged by the success of the event, many more individuals are expected to join the Congress party in the coming days, adding further momentum to the party’s resurgence in the region, the party maintained.

“This visit marks a significant milestone for the Congress party in Mon district, as the leadership continues to inspire confidence and support across diverse communities,” it stated.

It went on to mention that a major highlight of the visit was the joining of Wangka Konyak, former RPI candidate from the 47th Assembly Constituency (AC), along with all his party workers, into the Congress party.

The event, held at Aboi Town, witnessed the presence of the NPCC tour team. The new members were formally welcomed by the NPCC officials, with a joining letter being handed over to commemorate the occasion.
