Northeast Olympic Games 2022: Manipur, Arunachal in U-17 girls’ football final

Imphal, Nov. 15 (EMN): Manipur will face Arunachal Pradesh in the final of the U-17 girls’ football competition of the 2nd Northeast Olympic Games 2022 at Shillong, on Wednesday.
In their semi-final match on Monday, Manipur beat Mizoram 2 – 0. H Shilky Devi and U Luxmi Devi scored for the winning team.
In the other semifinal match, Arunachal Pradesh drubbed Sikkim 5-1. The scorers of Arunachal team were Rai Rumi, Angel Tayang and Giani Ramching Mara.
Meanwhile, Manipur managed to bag third place in the U-21 men’s football event.
In a third place match played at Pologround on Tuesday morning, Manipur beat Nagaland 4-3.
