Northeast Olympic Games 2022: Assam tops chart; Nagaland in 6th spot
Dimapur, Nov. 14 (EMN): Assam continues to top the medal chart at the ongoing 2nd Northeast Olympic Games (NEOG) 2022 with a tally of 123 medals including 49 gold.
The state also won 41 silver and 33 bronze so far.
Meanwhile, 2018 champion Manipur is closely following with 45 gold, 41 silver and 50 silver. With 136 medals, its tally is more than Assam but the latter continues to top the table over one more gold.
Nagaland is currently in the sixth position with 41 medals, including nine gold, five silver and 27 bronze.
The state’s women’s basketball team will play against Mizoram at 9 am today, Tuesday, and men’s team will take on Manipur at 10:30 am for the bronze medals. Meghalaya and Sikkim will play for the gold in women’s basketball at 1 pm, while men’s title match between Mizoram and Assam will be played at 2:30 pm.
Nagaland will also take on Maniour in U-20 men’s football for bronze at 9 am today.
