Noklak, Tseminyu DPDB meetings held

DIMAPUR — The Noklak District monthly Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for September was held on September 13 at the DC conference hall, Noklak, under the chairmanship of vice chairman of DPDB and DC Noklak, Arikumba.

During the meeting, deliberating on the upgradation and establishment of various departmental offices in the district, the DC highlighted the problems and issues faced by the district, particularly in terms of coordination, convergence of plans and programmes, and the implementation of schemes due to the non-upgrade of offices, according to a DIPR report.

The house approved and apprised their respective departments of the following: creation of a district education officer at Noklak district; upgrade to medical superintendent at District Hospital Noklak; upgrade to district welfare officer at Noklak; and establishment of a project director for DRDA at Noklak.

The house also approved and recommended the construction of the SP residence and police barracks at Noklak, as well as the construction of permanent fencing at District Hospital, Noklak.

The district project officer of the Land Resources department, Noklak, Lichumo Murry, gave a PowerPoint presentation on various activities undertaken by the department.

Tseminyu DPDB: The monthly meeting of the Tseminyu DPDB was held on September 13 at the DC conference hall in Tseminyu, under the chairmanship of MLA Jwenga Seb, chairman of DPDB Tseminyu.

The house reviewed registration of societies, namely Triumph Foundation and Senya Foundation, and, as all necessary documents were submitted by the applicants and verified by the district screening committee, the board approved the registrations, according to an update.

The board also discussed the land earmarked for the District Court Complex and forwarded the matter to the concerned department. Officials from the Agriculture and Food and Civil Supplies departments presented their activities. The Department of Social Welfare was assigned to give a presentation at the next meeting.

The board warmly welcomed the new members, namely ADC Kikumsangla Jamir, SDO (Civil), and EAC Molosangla Ozukum, who were introduced during the meeting. The meeting was conducted by DC and vice chairman of DPDB Tseminyu, Rohit Singh.
