DIMAPUR — The office of the coordinator, Naga National Political Alliance (NNPA), taking cognisance of the recent disagreement within the Z Royim-led Naga National Council (NNC) (Parent Body) group, stated that the current political climate threatens the very foundation of Naga nationalism.
In a press release, NNPA said that it does not condone the further fragmentation of the Naga political groups and denounced ‘the actions of the dissident group’ while stgating that the NNC (PB) is intact under the leadership of President Royim.
It said that NNPA re-affirms their commitment to the principle of political cohesiveness and equal participation of all the stakeholders and believes that this inclusiveness is essential to collectively determining the future of the Naga people.
“The NNPA is intact, with the active participation of all stakeholders,” read the statement, adding that they are committed to elevating the Naga political issue to a new level.
It further appealed to all the stakeholders to place their faith in the NNPA and uphold the peace necessary for progress, as well as to allow it to effectively continue the peace process.
