DIMAPUR — NN Nagi School in Kuda Village ‘A,’ Dimapur, is set to host its first one-day Winter Wonderland Carnival at the school new campus on December 16 from 10 an to 9 pm.

Activities such as magic show, circus, play zone, games, food, lucky draw, farmer’s market, photo booth, mascots, arts and crafts, pony ride, thrift store, face painting will be organised apart from 91 stalls. An amount of INR 100 entry fee will be charged for adult and INR 50 for children.

According to the school administrator, Pete Nagi, the first Winter Wonderland Carnival was a vision conceptualised five years ago but could not materialise as the school was in its initial phase. But with the growing numbers and support of the parents, students and faculty members, he informed that the carnival is being organised.

“The carnival is to celebrate the school community and give an opportunity for the students to collaborate with the parents, teachers and faculty members. Also it will create a family-friendly social event for the students and that is the main idea behind holding this carnival,” Nagi said.

“If the carnival does well, we hope to continue this carnival. We have done above and beyond our capacity.

“The planning of the carnival is happening with the members of the school, parents and together we have set up the school planning committee. From the decors to the lighting it has all happened with the parents,” he added.

Inviting all the community, he said that all the fees are budget friendly and also urged the vendors to keep the prices at nominal.

Meanwhile, the assistant headmistress of the school, Thejanguno Nagi, said the carnival is also a celebration of diversity. She informed that the carnival will be a good platform to showcase talents of the parents and the students.

She further informed that other than 91 stalls from vendors, there will be stalls put up by the students and teachers.

The convener of the planning committee, Benthungo Kithan, said that they are trying to create a community where students and parents get along with each other. The main objective of the carnival, according to him, was to give a platform where the students can enjoy the end of the session after a year-long hard work and provide a family time.

Parents namely Rahul and Swati Jain shared that the carnival is happening after a planning of two months and added that they are excited to witness the carnival.
