Dimapur, July ( (EMN): A total of nine persons were detected positive for Covid-19 recently at Mangkolemba and contact tracing was on. The detection of Covid-19 cases has brought about grim situation among the public of Mangkolemba and nearby villages.
In a joint statement, MALT president Tiakumzuk, All Ward Chairmen convenor Lanuyanger, and MTSU president Wapongtoshi informed that the community health centre in Mangkolemba lacks necessary equipments and facilities to combat against Covid-19.
Various NGOs namely MALT, MTSU, Watsü Telongjem, All Ward Chairmen, All Ward Gaon Bora, Mangkolemba Town Council have appreciated the healthcare workers of CHC Mangkolemba lead by SMO for their untiring efforts in every possible way in fighting against the dreaded Covid-19, despite the lack of proper infrastructure, medical equipments, manpower etc. It also appreciated Mangkolemba Baptist Church for its contribution towards the CHC.
It further urged the concerned authority to look into the matter to fight the war on Covid-19 by providing the necessary facilities to CHC. It expressed apprehension that failing to address the problem and fulfilling the demand could lead to loss of public co-operation.
