NHIDCL updates on construction of Kohima-Bypass Road stretches
DIMAPUR — The ongoing 11.26 km length road construction of two-lane with paved shoulder of Kohima-Bypass Road connecting NH-2 (NH- 29) from design km 21.0 to km 32.0 under package 3 by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL), has achieved cumulative physical progress of 11.33%.
As per the NHIDCL project status, the project was awarded on January 18, 2023 and appointed on June 16, 2023 with total project cost of INR 342.29 crore. With 11.33% physical progress at cumulative financial progress of 10.25%, the project’s schedule and likely date of completion is June 15, 2025.
Another project ‘Construction of 2-lane with paved shoulder of Kohima-Bypass Road connecting NH-2 (29) from design km 32.0 to km 43.454 under package 4,’ with a total length of 11.45 km awarded on Aug. 4, 2020 and appointed on Oct.15, 2020, is still under progress at cumulative physical progress of 24.77%.
The total project cost is INR 202.36 crore and although the project was awarded and appointed in the year 2020, the cumulative financial progress stands 23.27%.
Although the original scheduled completion date, as per the project status, was April 17, 2022 but it is likely to be completed on August 31, 2024, as per the NHIDCL.
