It may be mentioned that Advisor to Transport and Technical Education, Temjenmenba had on Friday expressed dismay over the deplorable condition of NH-702D after conducting a spot verification of the road with Mokokchung DC and other officials.
The NH-702D is the lifeline of people from as many as five districts of Nagaland — Mokokchung, Tuensang, Zunheboto, Tuensang and Noklak.
The NHIDCL, which has been awarded 39 projects in Nagaland between 2016 and 2023, has come under the scanner after the recent rockslide incident between Chathe bridge and Khuokhi bridge along the Kohima-Dimapur four-lane road (NH-29) that killed two people and injured three.
