DIMAPUR — To cope with the anticipated heavy rush of pilgrims during the ongoing Ambubachi Mela at Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to run one pair of unreserved special trains between Guwahati and Dalkhola stations.
According to an official update from NFR, the special train will operate for three trips in both directions. The trains will facilitate devotees and visitors coming to the Ambubachi Mela, allowing them to travel with comfort during the summer.
Special train no. 05674 (Guwahati-Dalkhola) will depart from Guwahati at 11:55 pm on June 23, 24, and 26, arriving at Dalkhola at 9:15 am the next day. In the return direction, train no. 05673 (Dalkhola-Guwahati) will depart from Dalkhola at 9:45 am on June 24, 25, and 27, arriving at Guwahati at 7:30 pm the same day.
The special trains will consist of 20 coaches, including sleeper class and general seating coaches, for the convenience of passengers on that route. During its journey in both directions, the special trains will run via Kamakhya, Dudhnai, Goalpara Town, Abhayapuri, Chapar, Bilasipara, Gauripur, Golakganj, Tufanganj, New Coochbehar, Mathabhanga, New Changrabandha, Jalpaiguri Road, New Jalpaiguri, and Kishanganj railway stations.
