Foothill road project: Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) along with the apex tribal hohos and legislators urged upon the state government to positively take up project through the North East Council (NEC)
DIMAPUR — Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) along with the apex tribal hohos and legislators have unanimously resolved to urge upon the state government to positively take up the foothill road project through the North East Council (NEC) in consonance with the Nagaland Legislative Assembly’s resolution on September 22, 2022.
The resolution to this effect was taken during a consultative meeting of the NFHRCC, apex tribal hohos and legislators held on July 28 at Hotel Saramati in Dimapur.
The members felt that many projects in the state have not been executed robustly due to lack of proper supervision and coordination among the agencies as a result of which innocent publics were made to pay heavy price.
Therefore, to avoid such misadventures and to maintain the workmanship, the house resolved that a tripartite agreement should be signed between NFHRCC, concerned department and the executing firms before the commencement of works both under NEC and mega projects.
An update from NFHRCC stated that the apex tribal hohos have empowered NFHRCC the replacement and appointment of the committee members based on their commitment in order to strengthen the committee and for the smooth initiative of the historic project.
NFHRCC has further appreciated the proprietor of M/S L Phukato Shohe & Sons, the contractor firm of the Doyang Bridge at Governor’s Camp, Liphanyan, for successfully completed of the Doyang Bridge.
