DYRO Wokha informs on inter-high school tournament
Dimapur: District Youth Resource Officer, Wokha, has informed that in view of the upcoming state-level inter-high school tournament, a district- level inter-high school tournament–cum-selection in table tennis and badminton for boys and girls will be held on April 19 at Indoor Badminton Stadium GHDD, Wokha. The DYRO in a circular requested all concerned to allow interested students to participate in the tournament. Further, selection of trainees for Khelo India Centre (Badminton) will be done during the tournament, it stated.
NVFA meeting on April 18
Nagaland Veterans Football Association (NVFA) has notified to all concerned that there will be a general meeting on April 18 at Hotel Blue Bayou (opp. Kohima War Cemetery) from 11 am onwards. All district associations have been asked to two representatives for the meeting, an update stated.
YR&S dept. notifies meritorious sportspersons
The Department of Youth Resources and Sports (YRS) has invited applications from meritorious sportspersons who won medals under recognised disciplines in the North-east, national and international level during April 2020-March 2021, April 2021-March 2022 and April 2022-March 2023. Eligible candidates have been directed to submit their achievement certificates through the concerned associations to the directorate office on or before June 30.
