One injured in hit and run case

Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): One unidentified non-Naga pedestrian, age around 30 years, was hit by a scooty in Ghorapatti area near Amar mill, Dimapur, on September 24 at around 9:20 pm. As a result, the pedestrian received serious head injury and was admitted at Faith Hospital, Dimapur. According to a police report, the pedestrian was wearing a black shirt, grey half pant with black leather belt and a double hearted tattoo marks imprinted on the right dorsum hand with orange thread on the right wrist. Relatives and friends are asked to contact the officer in-charge of West Police Station or Faith Hospital, Dimapur, for further information.

Phek district ultimate choir competition

Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): Phek District Music and Arts Society (PDMAS), in collaboration with the youth department of Phek Town Baptist Church, will organise the first ever “Phek district ultimate choral competition” at Phek Town Hall on September 30 at 4 pm with Theja Meru, advisor TaFMA, as the guest of honour. Eight choirs from different parts of Phek district will vie for the ultimate prize. The judges are Kevisekho Sechu, Hito Kiho, Vimezo Iralu, R Mhonroni Lotha, and Pfotokho Kayina. It informed that Colored Keys will make special appearance at the event.

LFI College commemorates NSS foundation day

Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): The NSS cell of the Livingstone Foundation International College commemorated the NSS foundation day on September 24 by organising a social work at the sub-health centre in Signal Angami village, Dimapur, on the theme “Community outreach.” Along with the NSS members, the faculty, staff and students joined in the social work. The village council chairman and the chairman in-charge of the sub-health centre were also present to encourage the students.

NPROA convenes meeting

Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): Nagaland Police Retired Officers’ Association (NPROA) has convened its 7th annual general meeting (AGM) and election of new office bearers for the tenure 2022-2025 on October 25 at Central Police Officers’ Mess, Chümoukedima, at 11 am. The association press secretary has requested all retired inspectors and above and Nagaland Police Service (NPS) officers to attend the meeting.

Tuensang district observes ‘World Pharmacist Day’

Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): Tuensang District Pharmacists’ Union (TDPU) observed ‘World Pharmacist Day’ on September 25 in the conference hall of the chief medical officer (CMO), Tuensang, on the theme “Pharmacist united in action for a healthier world.” Speaking on the occasion, the head pharmacist, Imlienla, has emphasised on the role of pharmacist and its profession in the healthcare sector and the perception of pharmacist and its involvement in different health sector including pharmacovigilance. Chubalemla and friends presented a song and concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Lanu.
