DAN meeting on Dec. 13
A meeting of legislature parties of Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) has being convened on Dec. 13, 11 a.m. at the State Banquet Hall, Kohima on the eve of the Nineteenth Session of the Twelfth Nagaland Legislative Assembly. All the Members of the DAN legislature parties have been requested to attend the same positively.
Arms license holders informed
In view of the forthcoming general assembly election, office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Phek and Mon have directed all arms license holders to produce their arms license for verification at the nearest police stations as per the address given in the license on or before Dec. 23. The notification also added that failure to produce the license for verification within the stipulated time will result in cancellation of license(s) as per appropriate section of law.
RTI cell convenes consultative meeting
The Right to Information (RTI) cell, Tobu has convened a consultative meeting pertaining to poor execution of governmental works under Tobu sub-division on Dec. 21 at Tobu town. The RTI cell has invited intellectuals, leaders of different organisations, concern public and youth of Tobu area to attend the meeting.
ANSTA executive meeting
The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) is convened an executive meeting on Dec. 15, 10 a.m. at EBRC, L-Khel, Kohima, to discuss an urgent issue pertaining to service matter of the members. All district and sub-divisional executives have been directed to attend the meeting positively. District and sub-divisional conveners of Regular Graduate Teachers Forum (RGTF) are also requested to attend the meeting.
KNCS branch inauguration prog.
Office of the Kyong Naga Cultural Society (KNCS) branch, Pangti village will be inaugurated at on Dec. 16, 2 p.m. at Yondon Youth Association office, Pangti. Therefore, all the members of the governing body are requested to attend the programme. The KNCS also invited advisors, members and well wishers.
Mon DPDB meeting
Mon District Planning Development Board (DPDB) monthly meeting has been convened on Dec. 15. All DPDB members have been requested to attend the meeting without fail. Venue and time will remain the same.
Free edu. for sports medal winners
Secretary of the University Grants Commission (UGC) in a circular informed to all the universities/institutions that claims in respect of free education for sports medal winners/participants of national/international events upto Sep. 30 may be forwarded directly to UGC office for further action. All institutions have been requested to comply and cooperate.
NAYO lottery draw postponed
The Northern Angami Youth Organisation (NAYO) has informed that the NAYO lottery draw which was scheduled to be held on Dec.16 has been postponed to Feb. 2018.
