DIMAPUR — The oath taking ceremony of the newly elected councilors of Chiephobozou Town Council (CTC) was held on Friday at the Customary Court in Chiephobozou town.
Addressing the gathering, the returning officer and ADC of Chiephobozou, Alemyapang Longchar, thanked the head of departments, various public organisations and colonies chairmen for the peaceful and successful conduct of ULB election.
He urged the newly elected members to work with full dedication, while he also called upon the public and leaders to work hand-in-hand with the elected councilors for the betterment of people.
Delivering a short speech, the special officer to chief minister expressed his gratitude to the ADC of Chiephobozou and his team for the successful completion of election. He exhorted the elected members to lead an exemplary life and work with the vision to uplift and develop the town.
The NDPP president of 11 Northern Angami-II, Kechalhoubei Taile, encouraged the elected members to function the council with utmost dedication and asked them to take sanitation and beautification of town as their main objectives. He also advised them to be humble while dealing with the public.
The programme was chaired by ARO and EAC of Chiephobozou, Ane Khieya, while a song was presented by Meseneinuo Kezieo and an invocation prayer was said by Vitseizolie Sopfü, pastor of Baptist Church, Chiephobozou.
