New market youths urged to play ‘big brother’s role’

Dimapur, Dec. 10 (EMN): The president of the Angami Youth Organization (AYO) Neinguvotuo Krose has said the New Market Youth Organization (NMYO) in Kohima is one of the oldest youth organisations in the state’s capital. Therefore, he urged them, they should play a “big brother role” in helping the other colony youth organisations.
Addressing the New Market Youth Organization (NMYO) 44 foundation day as chief guest on Sunday, Krose congratulated NMYO and lauded the good works done by them in various fields.
The president also solicited the support and co-operation of NMYO towards the AYO activities in the days and years to come. He also appealed to all the colonies and wards to come forward in helping the government while carrying out development activities in their respective areas.
Krose also announced that AYO will be meeting all the colonies –youth organizations of Kohima town next year to discuss various issues.
Giving “in reminiscence,” Akruo Nyusou, vice chairman, NMAP recalled how the New Market colony was one of the fascinating colonies in the state capital and urged upon the youths to carry forward the good works.
Short speeches were given by chairman NMAP Kuotsu and former president NMYO Dr. Pudeli Rhezhü.
Earlier the function was chaired by Xavier Rutsa while welcome address was delivered by president NMYO Vikholie Yiese and special number was presented by Vithozo and party. Invocation prayer and benediction were pronounced by Neithovi-ü Kuotsu and vote of thanks was proposed by general sports committee, Abalie Rhezhü.
