DIMAPUR — The North East Sports Association (NESA) has unveiled the trophies for the highly anticipated North East Games 2024, marking a significant milestone in the region’s sporting landscape
“The North East Games 2024 trophies, crafted with meticulous detail, embodies the values of unity, diversity, and sporting prowess that are synonymous with the Northeastern states of India. It represents a celebration of the rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit of sportsmanship that defines the region,” stated a press release from the Nagaland Olympic Association.
The North East Games 2024, scheduled to take place in Nagaland from March 18 to the 23rd, will bring together athletes from eight Northeastern states to compete in 15 games.
The event aims to foster camaraderie, promote unity, and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship among participants and spectators alike.
The awards up for grabs at the North East Games 2024 are the team championship winner, team championship first runner-up, team championship second runner-up, outstanding sportsmen, outstanding sportswomen, fair play trophy, and spirit of sportsmanship award.
“These accolades aim to recognise and honor the exceptional achievements and exemplary conduct demonstrated by participants throughout the event,” the release stated.
