Nepali Gospel Singing Competition season-VI held

DIMAPUR — Nepali Gospel Singing Competition Voice Hunt season-VI organised by Nepali Baptist Church (NBC) Chümoukedima Town Youth Department was held on Nov. 12.

An update from the organising committee issued on Monday informed that eight finalist took part of the ultimate winner.

Sanjana Basel of Nepali Baptist Church Kohima was declared the winner of this year’s Nepali Gospel Voice Hunt, second prize was grabbed by Sanju Thapa of Duncan Town Nepali Baptist Church while third prize was grabbed by Prem Chetri of Gorkha Baptist Church Diphupar.

The one day voice hunt which started in 2017 with theme ‘Praise his name,’ focuses to inspire, enrich, and motivate the Christian Gorkha youth under the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN).

The programme was graced by C. Teeya Imsong, Managing Director of Mount Mary Hr. Sec. School & College Chümoukedima Town. He said music plays an important role in the life of youth and encouraged each participant to glorify Lord with their given talents.

Sponsor for the winner was Samuel Thapa and Sunita Raut, 1st runner-up was sponsored by Manoj Ruchal, 2nd runner-up was sponsored by John Chettri and Manju Malla. Bishnu Tsopoe, Nepali Baptist Church Kohima Youth Department, Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland Youth Borad members, Ramita Sunar and Biru Lamgadey were the special invitees and donors in conjunction to the event.
